Terms of Use

Effective Date: 1 November 2026 · Operated by: Rohit Gupta, India

1. Introduction

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of MSLForge, available at https://mslforge.com (the "Service"). The Service is operated by Rohit Gupta, India, currently operating at the pilot stage and prior to registration of a separate business entity ("Operator", "we", "us" or "our").

By uploading a file, accessing or using the Service, you ("you" or "User") agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Service.

The manner in which the Service handles uploaded files and related information is described in the Privacy Policy. The Privacy Policy forms part of these Terms and should be read together with them.

2. What the Service Does

MSLForge reads a Bill of Materials ("BOM") uploaded by you and produces a Material Summary List ("MSL"), either in a standard layout or in a template provided by you. The Service performs this processing using fixed, hand-written rules.

The Service is intended to assist with preparation of an MSL from an uploaded BOM. The availability and functionality of the Service may change as it is developed and operated.

3. Review and Verification of Output

Any MSL or other output generated by the Service is a draft for review by a qualified person and is not a verified or certified document. BOM formats may vary, and the Service's rules may omit, combine, misidentify or incorrectly map a row or other information.

Before relying on an MSL for fabrication, procurement, inspection, certification or any other purpose, you or your engineer must independently check the output against the original source BOM and confirm its accuracy and completeness.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Operator does not warrant that any output will be complete, accurate or error-free and is not responsible for decisions or actions taken in reliance on an output. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

4. Pilot Service; Availability

The Service is currently provided at the pilot stage. During this stage, the Service may be modified, interrupted, suspended or made unavailable, and saved templates or settings may be changed or lost following an update.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind. Further information about the handling of files, templates and settings is set out in the Privacy Policy.

5. Your Files and Ownership

You retain all rights in the BOM, any template you provide and the output generated for you. The Operator does not claim ownership of those materials merely because you upload or process them through the Service.

You grant the Operator permission to access and process your uploaded BOM and template only to the extent necessary to provide the Service and produce the requested output.

You confirm that you are legally entitled to upload the materials and permit their processing by the Operator. Do not upload anything that you are not authorised to share with a service provider. You should not upload personal data beyond what a BOM normally contains.

Uploaded files and generated outputs are deleted within four (4) hours of processing, as described in the Privacy Policy.

6. Accounts and Shared Workspace

Where individual accounts are enabled, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for activities carried out through your account. You must take reasonable steps to prevent unauthorised access to your account.

While the pilot operates with sign-in switched off, users access a shared workspace. Saved templates and settings in that shared workspace are visible to all users of that workspace. Accordingly, do not save a confidential template or confidential information in the shared workspace.

The Operator may change the account, sign-in or workspace arrangements as the Service develops. You should review the access and visibility arrangements applicable to the Service before saving any material.

7. Acceptable Use

You must not:

The Operator may block, restrict or suspend access where a user engages in prohibited conduct or where such action is reasonably necessary to protect the Service, its users or its systems.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Operator's total aggregate liability to you arising out of or in connection with the Service or these Terms will be limited to the amount you paid to the Operator for the Service during the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. During the current free pilot, the amount paid is zero.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Operator will not be liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profits or loss of data.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded under applicable law.

9. Ending or Suspending Use

You may stop using the Service at any time.

The Operator may suspend or terminate your access to the Service, particularly if you breach these Terms, misuse the Service, attempt to access another user's data, or where suspension or termination is reasonably necessary to protect the Service or comply with applicable law.

Where reasonably practicable, the Operator may provide notice of suspension or termination. The handling and deletion of your uploaded files and outputs will remain subject to the Privacy Policy and applicable law.

10. Changes to These Terms

The Operator may update these Terms from time to time. The effective date at the beginning of these Terms indicates the date of the latest version.

If a change materially affects the way you use the Service or your rights and obligations, the Operator will provide notice before the change applies to your use of the Service, where reasonably practicable and as required by applicable law. Your continued use of the Service after revised Terms become effective will constitute acceptance of the revised Terms to the extent permitted by applicable law.

11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of India.

Subject to applicable law and the jurisdiction of any competent statutory or consumer forum, the courts in India having territorial and subject-matter jurisdiction over the dispute will have jurisdiction over disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms.
